"Fact" daily writes:
Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the "Prosperous Armenia" party, made a public statement, addressing the moral and psychological crisis created in the country and the immediate threats to the economic system.
Instead of internal stability, calmness and public solidarity expected in Armenia after the past electoral processes, the complete opposite picture is recorded, which further deepens the existing dangerous division within the society. The head of the "Prosperous Armenia" party, Gagik Tsarukyan, states in his statement that the post-election reality is characterized by an increase in evil, tension and separation from the people. The politician reports that in the days following the elections, he spent most of his time at the construction site of the statue of Jesus Christ, which gave him the opportunity to somewhat detach himself from the current complex reality and look at the existing state and social problems from a broader, strategic perspective.
In the statement, the PAP leader emphasizes that although unprecedented attacks and injustice have been carried out against him and his political team, he does not consider it appropriate to focus on personal or team problems, as these issues are addressed in the legal and political dimensions by his teammates and lawyers.
Instead, the politician raises the most radical questions concerning the future of the state, why the situation in the country does not calm down even after the end of the election cycle, and when will real changes for the better finally take place in Armenia?
In this regard, he directly asks in his speech. "Wasn't 8 years enough to create an atmosphere of solidarity in the country... Or maybe such a problem was not raised at all?"
Gagik Tsarukyan answers these important questions with his own questions, directed at the country's political system and the management culture of the past years. He is puzzled as to why in Armenia it was not possible to achieve that the election campaigns were exclusively programmatic, free from hostility, threats and hate speech.
According to the figure, real and positive changes in the country will be possible only when the society and the political elite understand that everyone is in one common ship, where any position, mandate or individual narrow interest will become completely meaningless if that common ship crashes.
Referring to the theses circulating about him that he entered the electoral process to save his own capital and property, Gagik Tsarukyan emphasizes that the reality is the opposite. He states that he gave up a quiet and carefree life for himself, having only one goal: to help the country get out of the difficult situation.
He states that, like many people, he could stand aside and think only about personal well-being, but when he sees that the motherland is facing serious problems, he cannot show indifference. According to the politician, indifference is the source of the biggest problems, which comes from not knowing and feeling the idea of a common home and common problems.
The new way of thinking, which the country needs today, should imply mutual respect, the ability to listen to each other and share the joy and pain of the other, but at present society is deprived of this realization.
The PAP leader expresses concern that if Armenia faces serious difficulties and challenges, and the country is now moving in that direction, then everyone will suffer, without exception, and there will be no winners in that situation, because the losses will be common.
Tsarukyan emphasizes that his recent public activities were built solely on the idea of internal solidarity, which should have been the cornerstone of post-war reconstruction.
Unfortunately, instead of internal solidarity, as a result of these elections, evil, tension and division of the people deepened in the country.
In the statement, attention is paid to the personnel policy and the internal divisions of the society. The figure notes that in the near future the state will have to make difficult decisions and find solutions, but there is a doubt that the public and the authorities are fully aware of the seriousness of the moment.
The people are divided into different camps, and capable personnel, experienced specialists and knowledgeable figures do not have any opportunity to influence decision-making and are ignored only because they are not considered "their own".
The diaspora is viewed as an outsider within the state, and internal opponents as an enemy, which creates a difficult atmosphere for the country's future. The key part of the politician's statement refers to economic realities.
Tsarukyan calls the fact that even the economy is divided into pro-Russian and pro-Western today problematic, which cannot be considered normal for a developing state. He points out the dangerous processes taking place in foreign markets, which can have serious consequences for the Armenian producer.
Gagik Tsarukyan warns that the place of Armenian products in the Russian market is quickly taken by Azerbaijani products. According to him, while the country is engaged in self-deception, the real economy may collapse.
In this context, he warns in plain text. "As long as we engage in self-deception, the real economy can collapse. Our place in the Russian market is quickly being taken by Azerbaijani products." If it continues at such a rate, the Armenian peasant may be on the verge of poverty, businessmen will face the fact of bankruptcy, the state budget will have serious problems, and the real branches of the economy may be directly destroyed.
It is surprising how such a situation could have been allowed, and the answer, according to the figure, again boils down to the lack of a sense of a united country and united problems. At the end of his public speech, Gagik Tsarukyan emphasizes that the statue of Christ initiated and being built by him and the Noah's Ark complex, apart from the expected economic benefits for the country, have a much more important symbolic mission.
They are meant to become a symbol of the unity, common goals and common future of the Armenian people, which is now necessary to get out of the swamp of division and preserve statehood.
