Less than five members of the Communist Party of Meghri are worried about the upcoming elections. CP is divided into camps, supporters of the arrested community leader of Meghri, Khachik Andreasyan, are in the current party council. Let's remind Andreasyan, he was elected as the head of the community with the quota of Samvel Babayan's "Liberal Party", then he went under the banner of the CP, and the party elite appointed him the head of the regional structure of the Meghri CP. He also made his own members of the council, pushing the old party members out of the council.
Now that Khachatur Andreasyan has been arrested, the so-called ideological members of the Communist Party have risen up. We were told that they are going to call Gevorg Papoyan and Arsen Torosyan, who "primed" Andreasyan, and demand an answer as to why they once appointed Khachatur Anderasyan the leader of the CP of the community. Moreover, the "ideologues" have decided to demand that a new structure be formed.
We wrote that Khachik Andreasyan will lead the CP list in the elections, the decision was already made at the top, Gevorg Papoyan and Arsen Torosyan, as curators of Syunik, were the sponsors of that decision, and even after Andreasyan's arrest, they assured us from Meghri that the candidate would not change, but in fact, it did not happen. Now, as is known, CP will participate in the Meghri elections through an alliance with businessman Sergo Galstyan.
The community leader's message from prison, where he says that he continues to be a member of the Communist Party, had the goal of at least including him in the election list of the Meghri Council of Elders, but Nikol Pashinyan flatly rejected it, because he presented Andreasyan as a shining example of the fight against corruption, when even the members of the Communist Party are not spared.
Businessman S. is on the electoral roll. After Galstyan, Andreasyan's deputy will be Artur Grigoryan, who coordinates the work of Meghri Territorial Council of KP. Adreasyan's other teammates are also on the list, but according to our source, the list may change before September 20 and his supporters may be left out.
Let's remind that the mayor of Meghri was arrested about a week ago. He is accused of using the subsoil or natural resources without permission, as well as giving and receiving bribes for this purpose.
