"Hraparak" newspaper writes: "According to some reports, the authorities are preparing the ground to suspend the activities of certain political parties in Armenia. The day after the October 25 local elections, Pashinyan posted that 'The three-headed war party has been destroyed, as we see in the local elections.' He said that the 'spy opposition,' which is controlled from outside, must be uprooted from Armenia. 'A new, state-centered opposition must form in Armenia, but it should not be formed by the government,' he said.
Yesterday, Pashinyan's new teammate, Edgar Arakelyan, who transferred from Arthur Baghdasaryan's OEK to the My Step Alliance, marked his parliamentary debut with a dirty speech against the opposition, effectively 'expressing gratitude' to Pashinyan for the mandate.
He said we have an opposition controlled from outside and not serving Armenia's interests, and called on Pashinyan to engage with the opposition, like with the Church, for instance by forming an investigative commission for the opposition. Although Pashinyan has said that this is not the government's business, that public circles should discuss it and the response should come from the public, sources from the My Step Alliance do not exclude that when the issue matures and receives broad reaction, the authorities will suspend the activities of some forces by legislative initiative.
