The regular cases were registered as a result of the explanatory work of the officers of the Vayots Dzor Regional Department of the Criminal Police.
Calling the MIA 112 operational management center, the citizen reported that he left weapons and ammunition near the bridge of Malishka village. The criminal policemen who went to the mentioned place found an "AK" type rifle, a double-barreled hunting sniper rifle, a rifle magazine loaded with 30 bullets of 7.62 mm caliber, 5 grenades with explosives.
As a result of the explanatory work of the criminal police, the 40-year-old resident of Yeghegnadzor voluntarily surrendered illegally stored weapons and ammunition. He presented a "TOZ" rifle to the regional department and informed that it belonged to the late grandfather.
"The Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs assures that the detection and confiscation of weapons and ammunition illegally kept by the population will continue with greater consistency. At the same time, he urges to voluntarily hand over the illegally stored weapons and ammunition in order to avoid criminal liability," the message states.
