The officers of the Jermuk community police department received operative information that a 31-year-old resident of Agarak was bringing fake drinks and cigarettes to Jermuk for sale. The information was shared with the community police of Meghri.
Joint operative-investigative measures yielded results on September 3. At 6:30 p.m., when he arrived in Jermuk from Meghri, the man was arrested and taken to the Jermuk department along with the "Nissan" car he was driving.
As part of the criminal proceedings initiated in the Vayots Dzor Regional Investigation Department, 24 bottles of fake vodka and 1,738 packs of various cigarettes were found in the car driven by the man, 20 of which were without any notes.
The investigation is ongoing.
