On September 5, the employees of the Shirak Regional Department of the Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received operational information that a 52-year-old resident of Gyumri, without the appropriate permit, was preparing and selling counterfeit vodka and brandy at home. He was summoned to the regional department and, as a result of explanatory work, stated that the information was reliable.
A criminal proceeding was initiated, within the framework of which, during a search conducted at the house of a 52-year-old man on Ghukasyan Street, 144 bottles of counterfeit vodka with different markings, 15 bottles of counterfeit brandy of different capacities, about 60 liters of vodka, corks, empty bottles and other accessories were found.
The 52-year-old man was arrested and presented to the body conducting the proceedings with the prepared documents.
A preliminary investigation is underway.
