Recently, information has been received almost daily that new restrictions will apply to a number of Armenian products exported from Armenia to Russia and delivered through Russia to other EAEU states. In particular, we are talking about potatoes, eggplants, dried fruits, fish products, flowers, grapes, cherries, apricots, plums, peaches, nectarines and many other products of Armenian origin.
First of all, this in itself means the biggest blow to exporters, farmers, and villagers. It is no coincidence that there is already serious dissatisfaction among the latter. Moreover, the checkpoints of Bavra and Bagratashen have been regularly closed for the last two days, and there is a tense situation on the Armenian-Georgian border. Drivers, owners of greenhouses and farmers are protesting, complaining that they cannot export their products to EAEU markets. According to our information, there are accumulations of dissatisfaction in the entire territory of the republic. the people are clearly aware of the disaster that awaits everyone due to the policies of the Armenian authorities. Our correspondents talked to a number of farmers in different settlements, including near the Bavra checkpoint. Many of them did not want their names published, worried about the repression in the country. Nevertheless, they expressed their great displeasure with the current situation, noted that the authorities' promises that the goods will be exported to the EU are just a bubble, there is nothing serious about it. "Until they move, all our crops will be spoiled. And then, how will they arrange to export such a quantity to Europe, through whom, for how long can they provide this PR?" said one of the interlocutors angrily.
Moreover, many peasants and farmers say that the government totally ignores them. many times they tried to call the government, the Ministry of Economy, to understand what is expected of them, but either no one answers the call, or if someone "picks up the phone", they say that they do not know, are not authorized to answer questions, because "все ушли на фронт", they are campaigning, again. In short, people are in a desperate situation, and anger in the public is reaching more and more extreme proportions.
