The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, criticized the statement of the Polish officials about expelling the Russian ambassador from the country. The relevant post was published on his Telegram channel.

"The first quarter of the 21st century was coming to an end. Men became women, and lies were called truth," the diplomat wrote.

Also, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry reminded that the Soviet soldiers liberated the Polish people from Nazi Germany, but, despite this, Warsaw is not going to demand compensation from Berlin for the damage caused during the Second World War.

On October 22, it became known that the Polish Foreign Ministry canceled the permission to operate the Russian consulate in Poznan. The presence of the institution's staff on the territory of Poland was recognized as undesirable. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland explained that it was allegedly related to the arrest of a saboteur who, on the instructions of the Russian special services, was planning to set fires in Wroclaw. As a result, he did not rule out the deportation of Russian Ambassador Sergey Andreev.
