Ukraine has carried out drone strikes on Novorossiysk. The attack began on the evening of September 8 and continued throughout the night, Mayor Andrey Kravchenko confirmed. He said that “drone fragments” fell near industrial areas and a residential building.
Krasnodar Territory Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said that four people, including a child, were killed in the attack in Novorossiysk overnight. 29 people were injured, three of them seriously. He also said that three private homes, five apartment buildings, a church and a kindergarten were damaged. Ukrainian Telegram monitoring channels reported that the port of Novorossiysk was hit. In particular, a fire was recorded at a fuel oil terminal.
This information is confirmed by the analysis of Astra journalists. The publication also reports that a fire broke out in an apartment building as a result of the attack. The Russian Defense Ministry announced that a total of 596 Ukrainian drones were shot down in various regions overnight.
