US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he believes it is possible to develop a plan of further action in the next few weeks to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, including the resumption of trilateral talks.
“I believe it is possible to develop a plan of further action in the next few weeks to resume negotiations and, perhaps, reach a solution acceptable to both sides,” he said, answering journalists’ questions about the settlement of Ukraine in Colombia.
According to him, “this is exactly what is needed” to end the conflict. Rubio expressed hope that “it will be possible to outline a path to the resumption of negotiations, in which the United States has always been ready to act as a mediator.” The meeting was broadcast on American television channels.
