German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrived in Kyiv on a visit for the first time in the last 2.5 years.

This was reported by the DPA agency. The head of the German government will meet with Vladimir Zelensky.

Scholz arrived in Kyiv by train; his visit was not announced in advance “for security reasons.” The German Chancellor announced that in December Berlin will supply Ukraine with weapons worth €650 million.
