"People". There are opponents among the BDC members. Artur Atabekyan was not elected as the president of the Central Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan

"Zhoghovurd" daily writes:

"According to the information of the "Zhoghovurd" daily, there is no peace in the Supreme Judicial Council of the RA, and yesterday there was a shameful situation. Informative sources of the "Zhoghovurd" daily inform that the candidate for the presidency is the son of the cousin of the deputy of the CP faction, Vahe Ghalumyan, a judge of the Court of Cassation, BKH. member Artur Atabekyan. In the first round of the election, only 3 out of 7 members of the Central Committee voted in favor of Atabekyan, as a result of which he could not be elected president of the Central Committee in the first round.

The judges conducted the 2nd round of the election, where 4 people voted in favor of Atabekyan, the "candidate of the heart" of the government, as a result of which Artur Atabekyan was not elected for the second time as the president of the Central Committee.

It should be noted that according to Article 84, Clause 3 of the Judicial Code, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council is elected by the majority of votes of the total number of members of the Supreme Judicial Council. At the moment, there are 7 members of the Supreme Judicial Council, so judging by the situation, 6 members of the Supreme Judicial Council should have voted for Artur Atabekyan. , but it turns out that the members of the Central Committee are against his candidacy or are waiting for an "appropriate SMS" from the executive power to vote in favor of the candidate for the president of the CP Atabekyan.

Let's remind that yesterday the Central Committee officially announced that the election of the President of the Central Committee was scheduled within a ten-day period, during which no candidate received enough votes, and Karen Tumanyan, a lawyer-scientist member of the Central Committee, will temporarily continue to perform the duty of exercising powers.
