"The "Mother Armenia" faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders has already collected the necessary number of signatures for the initiative against the increase in the price of transport.
The head of the faction, Manuk Sukiasyan, told "Zhoghovurd" daily that in order to discuss the project at the session of the Yerevan Council of Elders, signatures of more than 8,000 residents of Yerevan with the right to vote are needed, but they have collected even more signatures, about 10,000.
"Mother Armenia", however, intends to continue collecting signatures for a few more days, after which the initiative will be brought to the municipality.
Manuk Sukiasyan said that they will do everything to put the initiative on the agenda at the council meeting at the end of the year.
Let's remind that "Mother Armenia" demands to leave the transport price unchanged at 100 drams.
