The doctor warned about the dangers of combining eggs with several foods

Gastroenterologist Alexander Prikazchikov warned that eggs can be harmful to health when used with certain foods. The danger is not in eggs, but in their combination with saturated fats, the specialist explained in his Telegram channel.

According to the doctor, many people unnecessarily avoid eggs, while the problem lies in the accompanying foods: bacon, sausages, butter, biscuits and pork. It is this combination, in his opinion, that leads to undesirable consequences for the organism.

Prikazchikov emphasized that the consumption of eggs with saturated fat increases the level of "bad" cholesterol in the blood, which increases the risk of atherosclerosis. However, the doctor noted that in a balanced diet, supplemented by physical activity and unsaturated fats, even two or three eggs will not cause harm.

The expert added that people with high cholesterol, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases should limit the consumption of egg yolk, while egg white can be eaten without fear.
