The Chinese company BYD, which is considered the world's largest electric car producer, has presented its 10th model for the European market, Dolphin Surf. The price of the car starts from 22,950 euros, but at the end of June it will be discounted at the cost of 19,990-24,990 euros, according to Martkyan's power.
The new model emphasizes the price pressure on European carmakers, which still find it difficult to offer affordable electric cars. The Chief of Sales Patrick Schulz stressed that BYD has targeted compact segment of Europe, noticing the huge potential of that market, Reuters reports.
In Chinese, the famous car named Seagull has already registered a great success in China, registering more than 442,000 sales in 2024. In Europe, BYD has quadressed, selling 37,2013 cars in the first quarter, while Tesla sales decreased by more than 37%. The company plans to access 12 new European market in 2025, expanding its sales network to 1,000 halls.
