During the ongoing restoration and cleaning works in the "Amberd Castle" historical and cultural reserve, interesting finds were discovered. In particular, a human skeleton was found on the outer side of the inner tower wall of the castle, about one meter to the east of the central part.
Almost 90 percent of the bones are in place. only the fingers were not found. From the dentition, it can be assumed that he was young. But this is not all. during the cleaning works, relics of the game of tama (checkers-like), which is evidence of (supposed) occupation in the Middle Ages, and the coin of Queen Tamar, which is of exceptional value, were also found.
Clearing and excavation work continues in Amberd, revealing new details of the history and life of the castle.
