Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. This was reported by the press service of the Kremlin.
During the conversation, the Russian leader congratulated the President of Belarus and the Belarusian people on the occasion of Epiphany.
Putin also wished success to Lukashenko in the upcoming presidential elections.
"The leaders confirmed their mutual commitment to the further strengthening of the alliance and strategic partnership of the two countries and agreed on further personal contacts," the message reads.
