Pakistan has decided to close its airspace for certain hours on October 28 and 29 due to large-scale military exercises in the western Indian states of Rajasthan and Gujarat, the Pakistani newspaper The Nation reports. According to Indian media, India is preparing to hold a large-scale combat exercise "Trishul 2025" along its western border with Pakistan from October 30 to November 10, which will involve naval, air and ground forces.
In preparation for the exercise, the Indian authorities have also restricted parts of the airspace over Gujarat and Rajasthan.
In turn, the TASS agency reports that at the beginning of October, Pakistan extended the ban on flights of Indian aircraft in its airspace until November 23. The ban was imposed on April 24 following a terrorist attack in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir that killed 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali national. India said it had evidence that Pakistan's inter-agency intelligence was involved in the attack.
