During the earthquake in Venezuela, a hotel where Venezuelans deported from the USA lived collapsed. The plane carrying people deported from the USA arrived on the morning of June 24. There were 146 people on the plane. More than 100 of them were accommodated in a hotel in the province of La Guaira, which is located about 30 km from Caracas. In the evening of the same day, an earthquake was registered in the region.
The relatives of the people in the hotel reported that some of them were killed, there are also survivors and missing persons. Let's remind that on June 24, 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes took place in Venezuela, with a difference of about 40 seconds. The foci were located in Yarakui province, about 10 km from each other. A total of 214 aftershocks were recorded. According to the latest official data, 1,719 people were killed and 5,034 were injured.
