Lukashenko asked Rosatom not to leave Belarus

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko asked Rosatom not to leave Belarus, but to continue working in many areas, including healthcare.

Speaking at the Global Atomic Forum, Lukashenko thanked for the introduction of the former Rosatom leaders Sergey Kiriyenko and Alexei Likhachev for his contribution to the construction of the first Belarusian nuclear power plant.

"Thank you for doing this project and not to leave Belarus. Alexei, I want to publicly ask you to not leave Belarus once again. I think I can persuade the President of Russia that we must continue to work in Belarus. And not only in terms of Sergey Kirienko's implementation of our joint programs. We must continue to work in many areas, and first of all, in the field of healthcare, "Lukashenko said.
