The leaders of the Russian and Ukrainian negotiation groups are in touch, said Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian president.
"The leaders of the negotiation groups (Russia and Ukraine) are in touch," Peskov told reporters, answering RIA Novosti.
Speaking about the resident of Russia and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, Peskov described it as a very meaningful and necessary conversation.
"It will probably not be again repeated that there has been a very meaningful, constructive, useful and necessary conversation between the two presidents in Alaska," he told reporters answering the relevant question.
The talks between Russia and the Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump took place on August 15 in Alaska. The leaders met in the Ermendorf-Richardson military base.
