The Israeli defense forces (IDF) will remain in the Buffer zone of the Syrian border, on the Syrian side of Mount Hermon to ensure the safety of Galilee and to protect Syrian drinks.
"The Israeli Defense Army's forces will remain on the top of Mount Hermon and the buffer zone needed to protect the residents of Galilee from the threats from Syria," he wrote on the kats X.
"Israel will continue to protect the dates in Syria," he added.
In December 2024, after the change in the Arab Republic, the Israeli army deployed its forces in southern Syria in the buffer zone near the border. At that time, the Israeli armed forces had control over the Syrian side of the Hermon Mountain Range of Golan Heights without meeting the resistance.
