Samsung fixes Galaxy S25 Ultra Purple Moon problem

Samsung quickly responded to the unusual problem with the Lunar photo of the Galaxy S25 Ultra Space Zoom function. Gizmochina reported that some users noticed that the photos taken by One UI 8 Beta 4 beta were given a strange purple shade on the surface of the moon.

The error first appeared in late July, during the issuance of One UI 8 Beta 4, the lunar photos made purple at all increasing levels, from 10x to the company's brandy 100X Space Zoom. It turned out that the problem was due to the mistake of developing Samsung algorithms.

After complaints at Samsung's community forums, the moderator confirmed the mistake and promised to fix. The correction has now been introduced at One UI 8 Beta 5 (Construction Number, Zyh6), which, according to some reports, already extends to regions such as India, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The update of about 1.78 GB not only restores the natural colors of the moon photos, but also includes the August 2025 security update, improvements in the stability of nine system functions and the disruptions of Wi-Fi disables and the disruptions of the Wi-Fi air command.

Moon photography was the main feature of the Galaxy S Ultra series since the beginning, which makes the "purple moon" mistake not only fascinating phenomenon. Samsung's rapid response shows that the company listens to the feedback of beta testers.
