Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has confirmed Russia's readiness to continue working with the United States in a Ukrainian settlement, noting the positive role of Washington in Kiev, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.
According to the message posted on the Ministry's website, the telephone conversation took place on Saturday.
"Lavrov noted the positive role of the United States, which has contributed to the fact that Kiev eventually adopts Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal to resume Istanbul talks.
He confirmed Moscow's readiness to continue working together with American counterparts in this context, "the statement said.
