The President of the Republic of Cuban Miguel Diaz-Khael stated that it would be a great honor for him to take part in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War on May 9.
"We celebrate the 65th anniversary of our diplomatic relations from the 80th anniversary of the historic victory of fascism a day before, which is a huge feat of other Russian and Soviet peoples, which can never be postponed.
"The victories of the Red Army are eternal," he said during the opening ceremony of archival documents and photo exhibition dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Russian-Cuban diplomatic relations.
The visit to Russia always causes emotions, and it is a greater honor during the celebrations, said Diaz-Kreat.
Havana's and Moscow's friendship was the test of time in the most difficult conditions, said Cuban leader.
