At the same time, I was predicted not only on the basis of analysis of changing US-Ukraine relations, but also in a much broader historical context. World history is full of examples of how great powers often create unpleasant incidents with their former allies to give up them, and in fact, their powerful enemy.
More precisely, a deal with the enemy of the ally is concluded at the expense of the ally. The same happened many times through the history of Armenia, from ancient times to our days. The last example is in front of my eyes, in 2018-2023. The described scenario is an experienced and successful way, from which we need to avoid all the way to curb their own security guarantees. Unfortunately, this failed, because the top leadership of the Republic of Armenia did not have no deep knowledge of world politics, but also not satisfied with the interests of his country and the people.
The interests of the great powers are more variable, and very often they are not dominated not allied obligations, but at the moment more profitable political transactions. Buffer states should never rely on foreign guarantees like Armenia. We need to take care of our own security and strengthen the interstate alliances of strategic importance on that basis. This is not a matter of choice but a historical necessity and historical duty.
