Iranologist Vardan Voskanyan writes:
"According to the international media, the US president's threat to block the Strait of Hormuz has come true, and 15 American warships have gone on duty.
This war against Iran was about raising the bar of tension between the parties, and as a rule, Iran has almost always been more successful in this matter, using its tools of asymmetric warfare.
So far, two messages have been heard from the Iranian military circles. one, that US warships would be attacked if they attempted to pass through the strait, and second, that if the security and operation of Iranian ports were disrupted, all ports in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman could not be considered safe.
It is noteworthy that, according to "BBC", years ago, the US Navy played out the scenario of a naval blockade of Iran through a military exercise, as a result of which it turned out to be highly risky and ineffective.
