Those who need to hand over reward weapons to the police, and who can keep them with them. "Fact"

The "Fact" daily writes:

The Ministry of Internal Affairs proposes to make changes and additions to the Law on Arms Circulation. The project envisages me in line with the rules defined by the current legislation and exclude the use of double approaches.

Accordingly, one unit of reward can continue to be a person's legal possession if the owner is a citizen of the Republic of Armenia for 20 years of service and at least a "major" rank or an aligned class.

In case of presence of these preconditions, leaving awarding weapons to the person is legitimized and accustomed to the standards adopted by the current legislation, as the current legislation has already recognized the right to acquire one unit of official weapons for such a person.

If a person who meets the mentioned preconditions was rewarded with weapons more than once, the second and next unit should be handed over to the police, as the settlement envisages only the possibility of acquiring official weapons.

It is planned to provide all the persons with the power of the regulatory settings for the state with weapons for the state, until 2025. July 1 to present the reward weapons to the police. Introducing award weapons to the police within the set timeframe will not cause any negative consequences, including criminal consequences. The cases of non-existence of the grounds provided for in Article 335 of the Criminal Code will be considered as a basis for initiating criminal proceedings. In case of satisfying the standards, the prime minister's award.

It is planned to create a legal opportunity for the police to be used by the police or the rewarding weapons confiscated by the police for scientific-educational or cultural purposes.
