“The claims of the Armenian Prime Minister, reflected in the article published in “Armenpress” on February 10, 2025, that Azerbaijan is preparing to attack Armenia, as well as numerous other unfounded statements, are aimed at distorting reality and misleading the world community,” APA reports, citing Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ayhan Hajizadeh, commenting on the article by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
He noted that “after the end of the 44-day war, Armenia’s military spending has almost tripled, from $600 million in 2021 to $1.6 billion in 2024.”
According to him, Armenia is allegedly acquiring “offensive weapons that can hit Azerbaijani territories from a great distance.”
Let us recall that official Yerevan has repeatedly denied Baku's false allegations and assured that Armenia is acquiring weapons and equipment only to exercise its right to self-defense and its obligation to protect its own citizens.
