First of all, Iran is interested in the creation of an inclusive government in Syria and is not in a hurry to establish relations with the new Damascus authorities. As reported by TASS, the statement came from Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Abbas Araghchi.
"First of all, Iran is in favor of maintaining the territorial integrity of Syria, foreign occupiers, especially the deportation of the Zionist regime. We are also interested in establishing a government in the interests of the people in Syria, "said Araghchi in an interview with the Iranian parliament.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also added that Tehran will definitely establish relations with the new Syrian authorities, but so far everything is under discussion.
