Mixed martial arts (MMA) lightweight division number one Arman Tsarukyan of Armenia agrees with UFC president Dana White that title contender status needs to be earned again.

The Armenian athlete made a post on social networks.

"I agreeWith Dana White. Immediately after healing my back, I will be ready to prove that I am the real number one contender by fighting anyone," wrote Arman Tsarukyan.

Former title contender Arman Tsarukyan refused to fight with champion Islam Makhachev (Russia) due to a back injury.
