Artur Sukoyan writes on his Facebook page:
"KPK deputy Vahagn Aleksanyan made a publication, where he referred to Levon Kocharyan's observation that "the Republic of Armenia negotiated only the unification of Artsakh with Armenia or its independence." Vahag countered and accused R. Kocharyan in the matter of negotiating the "Common State" model. A few important observations (it is not even appropriate to address the positive or negative aspects of the model):
1. That model was not proposed by the Armenian side. It was proposed by the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group (at the initiative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Ye. Primakov).
2. R. Kocharyan did not negotiate and could not, because it was rejected as soon as it appeared on the negotiation table.
3. The Azerbaijani side rejected the model so quickly that today, in retrospect, one gets the impression that it was the most unacceptable for Azerbaijan out of the 7 options for a negotiated settlement.
