I would like to inform you that today the RA Criminal Court of Appeals rejected the special review appeal of the RA General Prosecutor's Office, by which the latter petitioned to overturn the decision of the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Ararat and Vayots Dzor Marzes, to reject the petition submitted by Gerasim Vardanyan's defense and to choose a preventive measure against him: detention for three months Thus, Gerasim Vardanyan will remain free, says his defense attorney, Sergey Harutyunyan.
The defender notes: "Let me remind you that Gerasim Vardanyan spent four months in the detention center and two months under house arrest in the mentioned case. Gerasim Vardanyan will address this and about a dozen other similar cases in an interview in the near future."
Let's remind that Vardanyan, according to the Central Committee, is accused of taking material interest in the participants of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement. The RA Investigative Committee announced that criminal prosecution was initiated against 2 persons for giving money to the participants of the action.
