Italian carabinieri have arrested a 17-year-old teenager who was planning to carry out a terrorist attack on a school in the province of Perugia, according to a statement by law enforcement agencies.
"A 17-year-old teenager was arrested on suspicion of promoting and inciting crimes caused by racial, ethnic and religious discrimination, as well as possession of materials used for terrorist purposes," said the statement received by RIA Novosti.
According to the statement, the law enforcement officers confiscated from the young man instructions for the production of military means and firearms, information about dangerous chemical and microbiological substances, as well as sabotage manuals for state bodies. In addition, the carabinieri discovered information on the acquisition of weapons, their production and the preparation of primitive explosives.
