The Criminal Police have revealed circumstances related to the preparation for murder, the activities of a criminal group, and other crimes; three individuals have been arrested:
Operational data received at the Criminal Police's Lori Regional Department indicated that a 38-year-old man from Vanadzor, who is part of the criminal subculture, formed a criminal group by involving individuals engaged in criminal activities from different communities in Lori region and across the republic. These individuals planned, prepared, and committed various serious and especially serious crimes under different articles of the Criminal Code in various regions.
On the basis of these facts, a criminal case has been initiated under several articles of the Criminal Code.
In cooperation with the Criminal Police Main Department, the regional departments of Kotayk and Armavir, as well as the community police services of Armavir and Vagharshapat, about a dozen searches were conducted. Various types of weapons, counterfeit banknotes, narcotics, and items characteristic of the criminal subculture were discovered.
Five people were detained and handed over to the investigative authorities. Criminal prosecution has been initiated against them. Three individuals have been remanded in custody.
