The three-time Moscow boxed champion died during training


Moscow's triple boxing champion Pavel Kotov died during training. This was reported by "Moskovsky Komsomolets".

According to the source, the closes felt bad during the training and suddenly lost consciousness in the boxing gym of Moscow's Krilla Sovetov Sports Complex. The "Healthy Nation" club, which was headed by Kotov, held lessons. Ambulance was called to the scene, but doctors failed to save the athlete.

It is noted that the possible reason for the death of the 64-year-old athlete is a heart attack. The exact cause of death will be revealed after the forensic examination.

Kotov is a master of sports of the USSR of Boxing and a triple champion in Moscow. The athlete also was the winner of the USSR Cup, the winner of All-Union and International Tournaments.
