"Fact" daily writes:
ARMEN HAKOBYAN
Pashinyan and his "first-line" officials caused quite a stir in the news on the subject of the so-called "Citizen's Day". After all, they mentioned.
The barbecue of the "barbecue party" announced by Pashinyan was not for nothing, the price of "sasinski", the sausage itself, was also disappointing, according to the participants of the official event. The prices of other things too, of course.
But that is the other side of the question.
And, in general, a multi-layered and bitter sediment remained from that fictitious "holiday". Look, it's been several years since that event, called "Citizen's Day", has been celebrated on a state scale. Funds are allocated for this, resources are included, educational institutions make "planning measures". In short, Pashinyan government circles are somehow doing something. But it never became a citizen's holiday as such. And it is legal. It didn't happen, because it is the "holiday" invented by Nikol Pashinyan and his CP, if you will, which marks their taking power in 2018. That's all. And it could not and never became a public holiday, a citizen's holiday.
It didn't happen naturally. Even more so when people saw and are seeing the terrible consequences that Pashinyan brought and brings: war, thousands of victims, loss of Artsakh, subjugation of Armenia to Azerbaijani and Turkish demands, doubling of debt, attacks against the Armenian Apostolic Church... Who would want to go to a "holiday" invented by such a government?
Pashinyan himself perfectly understands this.
And not only is it not accidental, but it is also significant that the government decided to put the "smell of barbecue" in people's noses in order to get a certain number of people out.
The main and fundamentally offensive thing here is that Pashinyan and his masked "patches" think that the "stomach" is the priority for a certain layer of our society. Yes, let's be fair, there were people like that who really smelled the barbecue.
And many of them cannot be blamed. As a result of the "economic boom" brought by Pashinyan, as a result of terrible inflation and non-increase of incomes, perhaps they rarely see the "face" of meat. It is possible that there are also those who are really only guided by their "stomach", the important thing is that it is free, and they were disappointed that it was not free. But the latter, as much as they are a part of our people (and, in general, they exist among all peoples), they are not a whole society, and even more so, they are not a standard. It was just sad to see people during the CP event who were disappointed not by the loss of Artsakh, not by the death of thousands of bright boys, but by the fact that "sassiski" was 1000 drams, a small portion of barbecue or "steak" was 5-6 thousand drams.
Anyway, back to the "holiday" itself.
