The 1st session of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 17), established by the decision of the RA Prime Minister, was held under the leadership of Hambardzum Matevosyan, the Chief Advisor to the RA Prime Minister.
As informed by the RA Prime Minister's Office, the key issues regarding the organization of the COP 17 to be held in Armenia were discussed at the Committee session, in terms of the content and technical organization of the events.
According to the source, the Committee outlined the sequence of steps for the organization of COP 17, took inventory of the existing visible and foreseeable problems, as well as planned the upcoming work of the Committee.
Necessary instructions were formulated during the committee session.
