Zakharova advised Reuters to deny the news

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, raised a rhetorical question: does Reuters plan to deny its information about former president Bashar al-Assad's "most likely death as a result of the plane crash?" He this messagein his Telegram channelcalled "spreading fake news".

Earlier, Reuters, citing two sources, reported that "with a high probability" Assad could have died in a plane crash.

Later, the Kremlin announced that Assad and his family members had arrived in Moscow. "I wonder if the Reuters agency, which reported the death of Assad as "very likely", will deny the news.

This is the spread of falsehood against which the West is fighting so vigorously," wrote Zakharova.
