The situation in the Middle East is deteriorating month by month, which is causing concern due to the negative impact on trade in India. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, speaking at the XXII Doha Forum.

"What is happening in Syria, in the whole region, in Gaza, is creating a situation of serious instability, which is increasing month by month. And as a country on the other side of Asia, we are feeling the impact of this in the delivery of goods expenses, trade disruptions," he said.

According to the minister, the events taking place in the Middle East are a source of concern for India, because "this region is not so far away".
