Lavrov complained that Europeans are running away from him

In an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov spoke about inappropriate treatment by European politicians. According to him, after the start of the special operation in Ukraine, they started to avoid him.

As an example, the minister cited the G20 summit, which took place in Rio de Janeiro in November, Kommersant reports. "Some people don't like it when someone sees an American or a European talking to me. Europeans generally run away when they see me.

A similar thing happened during the last G20 summit. They are mature people, but they behave like children. It is unbelievable," said Lavrov. In November, the representative of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stated that the Secretary of State does not plan to communicate with the Russian Foreign Minister during international events.

"When I meet any Americans I know at international events, some say hello and exchange a few words," Lavrov added. To Tucker Carlson's question whether the Russian minister is in contact with anyone from the current US President Joe Biden's administration, Sergey Lavrov answered that he "doesn't want to spoil their career".
