The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vahe Ghazaryan, issued a statement informing about the submission of an application for dismissal. "Dear colleagues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and subordinate services, I have submitted an application to be released from the position of Minister of Internal Affairs.
During this period full of challenges for our country, we overcame many trials together. At the same time, thanks to your professionalism, conscientious work and dedication, we passed the difficult stage of deep, comprehensive reforms. The huge increase in the level of public trust is the result of great teamwork and consistent efforts of all of us.
Unfortunately, on this way, we lost our best friends and colleagues who bravely sacrificed their lives for the sake of the motherland and statehood. Thanks to them. I am sure that all reform-oriented programs will become a reality, and systemic changes will effectively serve the benefit of the citizens of the Republic of Armenia.
I thank you all. I thank the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the government for entrusting me with the responsible position of Minister of Internal Affairs at this stage of systemic changes.
I am confident that the Ministry of Internal Affairs will continue to be guided by the high values and principles we have adopted for the sake of strengthening the Republic of Armenia," he wrote in his message.
