It is important that opposition forces can present solutions aimed at the future. Because the "Let's destroy the state" movement has convinced a segment of society that there is no other solution than to comply with Azerbaijan's demands. This was written by Azerbaijan expert Tatevik Hayrapetyan.
"The unification around the defense of the Declaration of Independence, the inviolability of the founding documents of the state, and the agendas imposed on Armenia by Baku through Armenian authorities is undoubtedly a positive and welcome phenomenon, where personal and political approaches become secondary.
Through my public activities and facts, I myself have repeatedly demonstrated the synchronization of Aliyev's and Pashinyan's policies against Armenia, and in reality, Pashinyan's collaborationist policy. Let's call things by their names.
Alongside this, there is an important issue aimed, conditionally speaking, at looking three or five steps ahead. It is very important that within the scope of awareness and working with the public, the same opposition forces raise correct questions, as the topic of building peace is negated under Azerbaijan's aggressive and expansionist plans, continuing hate speech, and the conditions of prisoner detention. Azerbaijan is not a partner for building peace.
At the same time, it is important that forces can present solution options aimed at the future. After all, how and through what means do we resist Azerbaijan? What political, economic, diplomatic, military toolkits exist? What international actors exist, with whom the intelligent alignment of interests can lead to Azerbaijan's containment and our standing up?
These are very important issues for success, because the "Let's destroy the state" group has been able to remain in power for the third time by convincing a segment of society that there is no other solution than fulfilling Azerbaijan's demands. Not seeing solutions or creating deadlocks is an admission of one's own inability.
Solutions, of course, exist. I have presented some options to resist Azerbaijan on various occasions. But this should become a subject of more serious, important public discussion. Once the majority of society sees the path to a solution, I am confident that both the defense of the Declaration of Independence and the depowering of collaborators will become much easier to achieve.
P.S. All decisions must be made in Yerevan: this is the formula for success," she wrote.
