According to RIA Novosti, the doctors of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug admitted childbirth on the plane. The 30-year-old woman gave birth during the flight, and now she and the newborn are in the maternity ward. Their lives and health are not threatened. This was reported by the official service of the government of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
The incident happened when a 30-year-old resident of Novi Urengoy was returning home from Krasnoyarsk. The woman was on vacation in Krasnoyarsk, but during the flight she began to have labor pains.
The flight attendants provided first aid to the pregnant woman. The crew of the plane immediately informed the staff of the arrival airport about the situation, so that the woman could be given quick medical care after landing.
Medical workers were already waiting for the plane at the airport. After examining the woman, the doctors decided that it is necessary to give birth on the plane itself.
The birth was successful. The woman gave birth to a boy with a height of 51 centimeters and a weight of 2980 grams. The mother and child were then transferred to the maternity ward, where doctors continued to monitor them.
According to the authorities, this is the woman's third child. Two more children, three and five years old, are already growing up in the family.
According to doctors, the condition of mother and newborn is stable, there is no threat to their life or health.
