The criminal case against Narek Karapetyan, a deputy from the “Strong Armenia” opposition faction, has been sent to court.
Karapetyan, as well as his associate Alik Aleksanyan, have been charged with creating a criminal group and causing damage to the state.
According to the investigation body, Aleksanyan, being the founder and executive director of the “Our Way” public organization, received about $4.4 million and 230 thousand euros from the “Tashir” foundation from October 2025 to March 2026 under the guise of donations and loans. According to the investigation, these funds were later used to bribe citizens.
The criminal prosecution against Narek Karapetyan was initiated within the framework of the Alik Aleksanyan case. The preventive measure applied to Narek Karapetyan is a bail of 1 billion drams, as well as a ban on him from leaving the country.
