As it is known, in the main department of investigation of crimes against the state, constitutional order and public security of RA Investigative Committee, a politician who supported the alliance of "Armenia" parties in the parliamentary elections held in 2021 and a member of the National Assembly included in the national electoral list of the same alliance A.T. criminal proceedings on cases.
According to RA CC, the criminal proceedings regarding AT (Andranik Tevanyan-ed.) and AM (Aregnaz Manukyan-ed.) were sent to the supervising prosecutor with an indictment.
On May 22, 2026, the prosecutor submitted a petition to the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Armenia regarding obtaining an agreement to initiate criminal prosecution against the deputy candidate of the "Prosperous Armenia" party Andranik Norik Tevanyan.The petition was accepted by the CEC.Tevanyan was arrested and then detained.
According to law enforcement officials, Andranik Tevanyan, being a politician who supported the "Armenia" party alliance in the parliamentary elections held in 2021 and a member of the National Assembly included in the national electoral list of the same alliance, was recruited by foreign special services during the year 2024, on the instructions of a representative of foreign special services who is the director of the "Russia Caucasus" geopolitical center, committed espionage during the same period, as well as illegally collected and especially large amounts of 622 In exchange for the sum of one thousand US dollars, he transferred to the latter information containing state secrets, translated into Russian, regarding the course and results of the hearings held in a closed, secret session of the National Assembly in April 2024, thereby committing state treason to the detriment of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and external security of the Republic of Armenia.
As we reported, Aregnaz Manukyan, a member of the board of "Mother Armenia" party, was arrested.
On June 6, searches were also carried out in the apartment of Aregnaz Manukyan, a member of the "Mother Armenia" board, a candidate for deputy nominated by the PAP list. He was invited to the Investigative Department.
The searches were carried out within the framework of the case related to Andranik Tevanyan.
The Investigative Committee reported that a public criminal prosecution was initiated against Aregnaz Manukyan within the framework of the criminal proceedings under Article 427, Part 1 of the Criminal Code (publication of information containing state secrets).
