During 2026, as a result of control carried out by the Environmental Protection and Subsoil Inspection Authority using digital tools and drones, 81 cases of illegal subsoil use and concealment of extracted volumes were discovered, of which 24 were found as a result of inspections carried out in companies with the right to use subsoil, and 57 were found within the framework of administrative proceedings initiated by the Inspection Authority.
The hidden volume of illegal extraction of non-metallic minerals found in 81 cases amounted to 3,884,321.8 cubic meters. The damage caused to the environment calculated by the Inspection Body in only 57 cases amounted to AMD 254,914,192.7.
All of the above incidents have been reported to law enforcement agencies for follow-up. Based on the recorded volumes, the RA State Revenue Committee calculated the damage caused to the state in the amount of AMD 1,395,393,017.
