The export of watermelons from Georgia has decreased sharply this year, local mass media reports.
In the first 6 months of 2026, 67.4 tons of products with a total value of 33.6 thousand dollars were delivered from Georgia.
Compared to the same period in 2025, the volume was reduced by 91%, and the value index by 88%.
The volumes of exports to Armenia have also decreased significantly. If during the first half of 2025, 638.3 tons of watermelons with a value of 221.3 thousand dollars were exported, then in the same period of this year, this figure was only 5.4 tons with a total value of 7.3 thousand dollars.
