A tense situation has arisen in the National Assembly after the mutual statements made between the head of the "Strong Armenia" faction Narek Karapetyan and the CP deputy Taron Chakhoyan.
Taking the floor in order of governance, Karapetyan, turning to NA Speaker Ruben Rubinyan, said."You weren't here, I don't know if it was planned or not, we had a calf here who made a lot of wrong expressions. You did not stop him, let the "calf" not behave like a "calf".
Rubinyan immediately warned Karapetyan and urged him to turn off the microphone, stressing that insulting any member of parliament will not be tolerated.
After the meeting, Rubinyan and Karapetyan had a private conversation. According to the Speaker of the National Assembly, if such behavior is repeated, the ruling "Civil Agreement" faction will no longer show the same restraint.
On his part, Narek Karapetyan stated in a conversation with journalists that they were insulted for about five minutes in a row, but the chairman did not respond.
"They were insulting for five minutes in a row, but the chairman did not react. This is the situation"- he said.
Taron Chakhoyan also referred to the incident, claiming that his speech was a response to the remarks addressed to Samvel Karapetyan.
"I objected to Samvel Karapetyan when the latter called the representatives of the government "gyormamishts""Chakhoyan noted.
