On May 14, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Sahak Sargsyan, handed over the letter of the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs on the accreditation of the permanent representative of the Republic of Armenia to the UNECE to the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). This was reported by the RA MFA.
The executive secretary of the organization congratulated the RA ambassador, wishing him success in his new mission. Ambassador Sargsyan noted that Armenia attaches great importance to the revitalization of relations with African countries and the expansion of Armenia's involvement in the region.
The parties discussed the current cooperation and its prospects, pointed out the need to coordinate efforts towards sustainable development in the region in support of the continent to implement the UN 2030 and Africa 2063 development agendas. The directions of further cooperation have been outlined, based in particular on the provisions of the memorandums signed between the Armenian Association of Advanced Technology Enterprises and the Enterprise Incubator Fund.
